Eschenfelder Sprout Jar System 1, 750 ml with High-Quality Bowl in Stoneware-Quality Anthracite
1 sprout jar 750 ml with fine-mesh strainer and screw ring made of stainless steel, draining rack made of stainless steel and a high-quality bowl in stoneware quality, fired at 1240 °C and certified as a food contact item in the sense of the LFGB (German Food and Feed Code). The waterproof white shard is optically refined by a matt glaze in the mono-firing and is very easy to clean. The porous sherd in the monofiring due to good air drying (in contrast to the pre-firing in other processes), easily absorbs the glazing liquid, which can sink deep into the sherd and leads to a thick and resistant glaze quality.
Incl. a sachet of organic germination seeds from controlled organic cultivation.
With our sprout jar system you succeed in growing sprouts effortlessly and hygienically without soil: The slanted position of the sprout jars guarantees the continuous freshness of the sprouts, as the water drains off (avoiding waterlogging) and air can circulate (fine-mesh sieve). The ceramic tray catches the dripping water so that the system can be placed anywhere. The seeds are soaked in the sprout jar, rinsed and grown until harvest.
Attention: Not suitable for slime-forming seeds (e.g. cress, rocket, mustard, linseed), which require a “dormant soil”. The Eschenfeld cress sieves are suitable for this.
Tip: Colour changes in the stainless steel sieve are not rust (!), but are caused by the essential oils in the sprouts. Especially with fenugreek, strong yellowish discolourations can occur. These residues can be easily removed with washing soda (available at dm stores).
